- You may want to pay attention to an accommodation's cancellation policy when booking. Some accommodations allow you to cancel free of charge up to a certain time before the booked vacation.
- With some airlines, it is possible to obtain cancellation insurance for the air ticket for an additional fee.
- Some airlines also allow you to change the name of the airline ticket after booking for a certain amount. This allows you to sell the airline ticket if it is not covered under your cancellation insurance.
- Instead of booking six months in advance, it is smarter to book a last minute.
- By going on vacation by car, you do not run the risk of not getting your airfare money back when the relationship is over.
- In addition, a long plane trip and a long stay is obviously very expensive when you cannot cancel it and this is also not covered by your cancellation insurance. It is also more difficult to sell this trip to someone else. Therefore, think carefully before booking a long trip.
