Article 7:960 BW: Since 01-01-2006, this has replaced Section 275 of the Dutch Civil Code.

The purport of the new Article 7:960 BW is:

.. Only if you have your vehicle appraised by an expert in advance are you sure that the appraised value will be paid out in the event of a total loss.

Article &:960 is a successor to the old article 275 of the Code of Civil Procedure.

If you have a valid valuation report in the event of damage, most insurance companies will pay out in accordance with the valuation report.
