Compare prices of different providers in 4 steps
We hear you thinking, "Nice comparing, but it takes me way too much time. Fortunately, that's not so bad! You don't have to go through all the insurers' websites yourself; you can simply see the prices of all providers in one place. To give you a hand, we have created a handy step-by-step plan here at Alpina.nl . In just 4 steps you can compare prices for motorcycle insurance.
Step 1: Entering data
The first step is to enter your data in the online comparison tool. These include the registration number of your motorbike, your postcode, your date of birth and your claim-free years. With the license plate, we can determine the make and type of your motorbike. Not sure how many claim-free years you have built up? In our tool we have an option which allows us to make an online estimate for you with a few short questions.
Step 2: Choose your coverage
Next, choose a cover for your motorbike insurance. You always have three choices. We will explain all three of them. The basic coverage is WA. WA stands for legal liability and is compulsory in the Netherlands for each motor vehicle. With this coverage you are insured for damage you cause to someone else with your motorbike. Your own damage is not covered. If you also want to insure your own damage, you can choose a WA + limited casco motor insurance. This includes insurance for theft and fire damage to your motorbike. Finally, there is the All Risk motor insurance. This covers all damages, including damage you have caused yourself. Think for example of driving against a pole or unintentionally causing a collision.
Step 3: Choosing additional cover
You can compile a motorbike insurance policy entirely as you wish. This means that you can take out various additional covers to make your motorbike insurance complete. For example: legal expenses insurance, motor vehicle legal expenses insurance, passenger accident insurance or passenger indemnity insurance. Of course, this does affect the price of your insurance. The more additional options you choose, the higher the premium.
Step 4: Compare motorbike insurance prices
After entering your details and selecting a cover, you will get an overview of all providers. The prices for each motor insurance policy are also listed here. So you can easily compare. Do not only pay attention to the premium, but also to the conditions of the insurance. That way, you can be sure that your motorbike will be well insured when you hit the road.
