Stall clause/night clause

When a storage clause applies to vintage car insurance, the vintage car must be stored in an enclosed area between sunset and sunrise. This is not a carport with a gate in front of it or a parking garage that is accessible to multiple people.

A variation on this clause may be that the storage requirement applies only when the vintage car is within a 1-kilometer radius of the home.

Stowage clause varies by company

Not every insurer sets a standard stowage clause. This varies by product, type and value of the vehicle. Therefore, when taking out insurance, always ask if a stowage clause applies.
