Where can I register my scooter?

Generally, you can have the scooter transferred to the new owner's name at a registration desk, such as a PostNL branch, an RDW inspection station or an RDW counter.

To get your scooter transferred, you need the following:

• the original registration certificate (Part IB), and
• the transfer certificate either
• the certificate of registration in credit card format (registration card) with the registration code
• a valid identification document

Receipt of indemnification certificate

An employee transfers the scooter to the buyer's name, where the buyer receives a registration report. You as the seller then receive a release certificate. From this moment on, the buyer is liable for the obligations associated with having a scooter in his or her name.

The buyer is also now required to insure the scooter at least for third-party liability. You can cancel or temporarily stop (suspend) the scooter insurance now and reactivate it when you have purchased another scooter.

How do I cancel my scooter insurance?

Do you have a current scooter insurance with Alpina.nl? On our website you can easily cancel your scooter insurance. Enter the requested data and mention the date of cancellation. This is the date stated on the release certificate. Once you send the completed form, the scooter insurance stops immediately.
