The road tax amount for a truck depends on:

- Whether you take advantage of the option to pay in one lump sum over 4 consecutive time periods
- Whether your truck is equipped with a coupling device
- the maximum authorized mass of your truck
- The type of suspension your truck is equipped with
- the number of axles on your truck
- Whether an exemption applies to your truck. For more information, see Exemption truck.
- the euronorm of your truck

- Whether your truck is powered by a hydrogen-powered engine. If so, contact the Tax Phone Auto: 0800 - 0749.

Euronorms
The road tax due will be increased. The increase depends on the Euro class of your truck.
Road tax is increased by:
- 90% for a truck with euro class 0
- 75% for a truck with euro class I
- 60% for a truck with euro class II
If no euro class is registered, the date of first admission of the truck as listed in the registration register is used to determine the euro class.
- euro 0 vehicle if date of first entry into service is before July 1, 1992
- euro I vehicle if date of first entry into service is after June 30, 1992, and before October 1, 1995
- Euro II vehicle if date of first entry into service is after September 30, 1995, and before October 1, 2000
- euro III and above if date of first entry into service is after September 30, 2000
